COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Middle Georgia State College Police have arrested a Hawkinsville teenager and charged him with the murder of 19-year-old Jmaal Keyes.
Keyes, a freshman at the college, went missing on April 29th.
According to a news release, 17-year-old Robert Kane Rolison was taken to the Bleckley County LEC Thursday evening. The release says Rolison is dual-enrolled at a high school and with Middle Georgia State.
There was no information on how Keyes died, if his body has been located, or Rolison's motive.
Thursday, the school's Interim President John Black said, "We are absolutely devastated by this news. There just are no words to describe how deeply hurt we are and how terrible we feel for Jmaal's family. I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to everyone in his family, and everyone who knew Jmaal. We ask everyone in the Middle Georgia community to keep this family in their thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come. We will cooperate in every way to help law enforcement authorities complete their investigation."
