MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - The Bibb County School District has been re-accredited, but the review team in charge wants to see some improvement within the system.
The review board AdvanceEd audited the district back in late April. They commended the district for its collaborative learning efforts, its use of literacy coaches, the Welcome Center and its strategic plan.
However, AdvanceEd wants to see improvement in the following areas over the next two years--
communication between staff, technology upgrades, and overall leadership and system effectiveness.

Online Survey Results Come Back
School district officials announced Thursday a survey the district put on its website received more than 1,200 responses. The survey asked parents to tell what they liked and didn't like about the district and came after two "listening sessions" interim superintendent Dr. Steve Smith held at Central High School.
Smith plans to gather all ideas and formulate a plan to tackle the biggest problems before the school year starts on August 5.
